The Challenge

Flexikitch supplies and finances commercial kitchen equipment for hospitality businesses across Australia, delivering complete kitchen solutions from individual equipment purchases through to full fit-outs. Customers primarily use equipment datasheets while researching and comparing equipment on the Flexikitch website, with a strong focus on understanding suitability, pricing, and finance options.

Internally, the sales team relies on these datasheets to support finance-led discussions, structure quotes, and guide customers through approval and settlement. But the datasheets themselves were a constant source of friction.

Flexikitch's datasheets were static PDFs that needed manual edits in InDesign or Illustrator. Specs were updated ad hoc — each change meant re-editing and re-exporting files, then emailing PDFs or uploading them to the website. Manual edits took too much time, there was a constant risk of outdated specs being sent to customers, and sales staff spent significant time just finding and sending the 'right' PDF before every quote.

The Solution

Today, Flexikitch uses LitPDF to generate datasheets from a central template. The setup involved building one custom LitPDF template tailored to Flexikitch's brand and equipment specification format.

Datasheets are now embedded on product pages for website downloads, used by the sales team in follow-up emails and proposals, and linked via QR codes in the showroom and on printed material. The datasheets stay centralised, current, and easy for the whole team to generate — regardless of whether they need a digital or physical copy.
